If only I had known...

For all our other modules, we look for past papers to get an idea where we need to go or what we need to do with the work but not this module. So I have decided to leave some parting knowledge for anyone who wants to read this blog in shear desperation.

1. Firstly, keep calm. Sit back, take a deep breath in and hold. Breathe out. You'll be fine.

2. Do not be afraid to ask for help, if it is not in your nature to ask for help, then suck up your ego and ask. Nothing worse than stewing in your own pool of blankness.

3. Anything you want to know, Geobach Wiki has the answer. If you can't find the answer there, then time to deregister the module.

4. If you are on top of work and have some free time, relax. The semester is really crazy so any moment to chill or read or watch a movie, take it.

5. You are not alone. The groups before you went through very similar struggles to you so do not think you are alone, you also have your group to chat to.

6. If the 3D model looks funny, look at your vertical shift, set it to -1250. Trust me.

7. When making maps, brush up on your knowledge of QGIS, it can do so much that you don't even know about. Also, ask Victoria for some feedback on your maps as she is brilliant.

8. Coffee. If you don't drink coffee, I suggest you start now. With all the late nights and early morning I had, coffee became my go juice.

9. Divide up the work. There is a lot of work but divide it in such a way that the work goes to someone who is strong suited. Lauren & Enati did the coding and I had the mapping.

10. The theory test is a lot, study more than 2 days before the test. Worth it.

There's a lot more technical things that I could bore you with but the best way to learn is by doing.

I am going to end off with a little quote by the legendary Master Yoda, "Do or Do not, there is no try".
